Brethren,

I am indeed greatly honored to serve as District Deputy Grand Master for 2019-2020. I anticipate the experience will be even more rewarding and fulfilling than the journey to get here. Heading into this office seems daunting, however, I am confident that with the traditional support of Eastern District, I will be able to live up to the high standards set by my predecessors and have a very enjoyable year.

During my term in office, I have several goals to accomplish for the betterment of our District.DSCN0299

While I firmly believe we should all adhere to our vow of daily advancement in Masonic knowledge, there are times when our Worshipful Masters are flummoxed to find Brothers to execute a particular piece of work in the Ritual. I would like to continue the existing efforts in this area by creating a formal Eastern District index of the work.

Globally, the numbers of Freemasons are declining as our Brethren ascend, and many are not replaced. I feel we should all undertake to promote our Fraternity to those we feel will embrace it. Our standards are high and the Work difficult and we cannot compromise this.  I believe the best promotion is to be vocal, be charitable and exemplary.

The Frederick Earl Eaton bursary fund is our most important philanthropic endeavor, supporting the education of Youth is a most noble cause. To ensure the Foundation is on the firmest of economic footings, I, like my predecessors R.W. Bro. Len Finnamore and R.W. Bro. Paul Riddell.

am naming this as my District charity 2019-2020.

In summation my Brethren, let us all strive to excel in everything we do, remember what it means to be a Mason and be proud.

Best Fraternal Regards,

R.W. Bro. David Noseworthy
